Art where stories begin.
Peter Sprengers creates sculpture, assemblage and mixed-media works from steel, found objects and industrial materials. Each work is a one-of-a-kind visual narrative: bold, layered and open to discovery.
This is me
Peter Sprengers
For more than thirty years, Peter has developed a distinctive artistic language rooted in curiosity, craftsmanship and transformation.
His sculptures, assemblages and mixed-media works bring together steel, discarded objects, industrial components, colour and texture. Materials with a previous life are taken apart, reimagined and assembled into unexpected new relationships.
The work balances strength with vulnerability, humour with reflection, and apparent chaos with carefully constructed harmony. Every piece is made by hand and exists only once.
Peter’s artworks do not offer a single, fixed interpretation. They invite the viewer to look longer, discover details and create personal connections between form, memory and emotion.
He does not seek to provide answers. Instead, he creates space for wonder, imagination and dialogue.
“I bring forgotten materials together until they begin to tell a new story.”

Assemblage, sculpture
and mixed media
Monumental wall pieces, spatial constructions and intimate objects: every artwork is built around material, tension, balance and surprise.
The studio
A place for making, collecting and experimenting.
Peter’s studio is part workshop, part archive and part laboratory. Here, raw steel, worn tools, fragments and everyday objects are transformed through cutting, welding, construction and composition.
Dutch Home Art
Unique art and design for gardens and outdoor spaces.
Under the label Dutch Home Art, Peter Sprengers creates distinctive works for gardens, terraces, ponds and architectural outdoor spaces.
Each design is developed as a unique response to its surroundings. The proportions of the garden, the movement of water, changing daylight, existing architecture and natural planting all become part of the composition.
Designed by Peter Sprengers
Not decoration added afterwards, but art created for the place.
Peter works with corten steel, stainless steel, water, stone and other durable materials. Their surfaces respond to the seasons and allow each work to become increasingly connected to its environment.
Projects may range from an autonomous garden sculpture to a complete artistic intervention involving water, sightlines, planting and architecture. Every design is developed and produced as an individual commission.
Materials with a history
Nothing is ordinary once it enters the work.
A handle, a wheel, a cable, a fragment of steel or a discarded household object can become the starting point for an entirely new composition.
Peter responds to the form, surface and previous use of each material. Objects are cut, joined, balanced, painted and repositioned until their original function gives way to a new visual meaning.
The resulting works are both recognisable and unfamiliar. They retain traces of their past while becoming part of a new and unexpected story.
Art creates space for meeting, curiosity and conversation.
